'gift for you'

Hello again!  Here's the cute Magnolia card I said I had nearly finished.  Nothing too fancy as I thought the snowflakes was enough and the image was cute enough as it was.

You can't really tell from above photo but Tilda has been raised on foam pads so it's lovely and 3D in real life - might see it better in photo below and the colours are more true to life in this one, warm wine and cream colours not as bright as photo above.

Stash:

Stamps: Tilda with present from Magnolia 2009 Christmas collection (even though I've got this years's new ones to use now)

Colouring: Copics on image, distress ink sponged around circle background

Paper: Old DCWV christmas 6x6 paper stack pad plus some cream and kraft cardstock

Tools: Lacey circle nesties,  MS snowflake punches and deep edger border punch with holepunch for the circle in centre of snowflakes.  circle behind image embossed with snowdots (not sure if that's the proper name) folder which I got last year - love this folder  think it's by crafts too

Others: stickles for bit of glitter and fineliner pen and tracing wheel for my faux stitching. (May have to put mini Janome sewing machine on my santa/DH list :))

'Sassy' and a very CAS xmas card

Ooops! So much for not leaving such a long gap between posts.  Anyway, here's a couple I have managed to make.

I've got 10 christmas images coloured up waiting to be made into cards but what did I go and do instead?! This . .

I was experimenting with felt and an old flower cuttlebug die I had so had these little felt flowers lying around which I wanted to use and I got some of the new Sugar Nellie stamps (love that you can colour their eye colour) and thought they suited this girly image.

Stash:

Stamps: Simply Sassy by Sugar Nellie (this one was the free stamp when you bought the other 5.  So don't think it's available anymore but the other 5 are.)

Colouring: Copics and bit of sponging with antique linen distress ink around her as it was too white

Paper: DCWV & cream pearlescent cardstock

Tools: Rectangle nesties, cuttlebug flower & leaf die, EK flourish punch

Others: Felt for the flowers (this is my new 'thing' at the moment and I'm waiting to get my MFT dies so I can diecut some more felt flowers and snowflakes too so you may be seeing more felt embellies until it's out my system LOL), Viva decor glitter liner in black for the black pearls

Now, here's the other card I managed to make.  It is actually a christmas card, finally, but be warned this is VERY clean and simple (probably the ultimate for me - really had to stop myself from adding anything) but I like it

I wanted something simple that I could churn out for neighbours etc.  May just play around with couple different colour variations and inkpads etc but I think they will do the job. Think they almost look like ones you can get in the shops, what do you think - will they do?  It was all just stamped direct onto white cardblank.  (all stamps except the writing below ribbon are from waltzingmouse stamps  stamp set 'teeny trees' The tree is actually made up of 3 different stamps and the whole set is just full of different bits you can mix & match - I LOVE the font on the sentiments to this set and it's not just christmas.  The one below ribbon is a wooden stamp I have but not sure who by)

I'm halfway through another christmas card (a cute Magnolia one) so will show that when I'm done.  Until then, wrap up warm (brrrr, it's cold here)

Helloooooooooooooo!  Anyone still there?!  Huge apologies for the lack of posts in the last month but Mr cardmaking mojo seems to have done a runner.  However, Miss colouring mojo stayed behind as I've built up a little pile of coloured images (with copics, what else?!), but just no cards. See for yourself . . . .

So with all these images I finally made myself try and get back into the swing of things and put this card together the other night although I'm still not that happy with it, it's a start.

It's cute Japenese Tilda which I had all coloured and decoupaged but just found it really hard to try and put a layout together for her.  I shouldn't have used my border punch around her but it was done, so then I had to just work around that.  I think it looks a little better in real life as you can't really see how raised she is in the photo maybe this next shot gives a better feel to the 'depth' of this card . .

Papers are a Dovecraft pack, and the rest are just the usual suspects; coloured cardstock, ribbon, flowers, Marienne D doily die, various MS border punches and the black pearls are made with a Viva Deco pen (love this stuff).  The chinese happy birthday sentiment is from a Woodware stamp set.

I've not done much else (besides buy more stash >.< Just too many gorgeous papers, punches and stamps that I *need*  ) and I really should get my skates on as christmas is only round the corner so best get cracking with the cards and there are a few gifty things I want to try and make.  Have managed to tidy/clear out my craft room a bit though still got a bit more to do.  Hopefully I might find Mojo buried amongst all my unused stash.
