WoJ: 'little birdie told me . .'

Hello,  I'm back even though I said I might not be! I managed to finish this card yesterday.  It was another one of those 'not sure if I like where this is going' but after I'd phaffed and re-arranged it to death it's turned out better than I thought it would. . but then again, it wasn't hard as I adore this stamp.  It's another one from the 'Birdie love' stamp kit.
I thought I'd play along to this week's WoJ challenge of using colour combo, 'coffee & cream' and I'm also entering it into this week's Simon's says challenge who want a mother's day or girly card which I think this most definitely is, with all those flowers and glitter.

Here's a close up where you can just about see all the shimmer in her dress (from twinkling H2Os) and all the glimmer mist I've sprayed over the painted chipboard flourish and the flowers, which have also been stickled to death too.

**********************
The eagle eyed amongst you may see the 2 partial stamped images behind her - the bit of grassy flowers on the left is from the birdtable accessory stamp from the kit but the one on the right is actually part of the birdbath which is from the other new WoJ 'store stamp kit' which is only available via WoJ retail stockists and not direct.  This is the kit

and list of stockists & details can be found here or alternatively email your fave stamp store and direct them there and ask them to stock it for you ;)
I will have more samples made with this kit soon.  I just love how these 2 kits work so well together.

Stash:

  • Stamps: all from 'Birdie love' stamp kit apart from the bird bath which is from the 'store kit' - WoJ
  • Colouring: Copics and bit of twinkling H2Os for the images, then sponged distress inks around background
  • Paper: 'victorian classic' Paper Cellar 6x6 pad I happened to see a couple weeks ago in Hobbycraft
  • Tools: MS around the page punch for the cream paper behind the image, MS branch punch, PM tree punch for the other leaves
  • Others: chipboard flourish painted with distress crackle paint, paper roses, 'creme de cocoa' glimmer mist, 'gold ice' stickles

Sorry for the long post and thanks for sticking it out to the end!  Have a lovely weekend.
