SWF~scene card: 'warm thoughts'

It's been a while since I've joined in any challenges but I happened to have a look at what was around after making this card, and lo & behold . . SWF this week is to make a card with a scene, so I had to enter :D

Again, couldn't decide which photo was better, so you get both (you can click on this 2nd one for closer view)
I've created card base with the largest nesties 'label 8' die, and cut out background of fence and lampost (Magnolias) with the same die too. I then stamped cute Willow (from the new WoJ winter stamp kit but will be available individually this week) onto an older WoJ bench before cutting them out. They have then both been embossed with a cuttlebug snowdots folder (absolutely love this folder). Everything was then coloured and glittered etc before I stuck Willow on foampads - very 3D in real life & if you look at the photo below you may just see the dimension and all the foam pads behind her! Sentiment and snowflakes around it are also from the WoJ Winter kit and have been cut with the smallest 'labels 8' nesties die.

  • Stamps: Chilly Willow (don't know her proper name yet), bench, sentiment, snowflakes - WoJ. fence and lampost - Magnolias winter '08
  • Colouring: Copics and stickles on all the dots of snow. sponged 'milled lavender' distress ink around border of image
  • Paper: none again - don't know what's wrong with me! Just the double sided cardstock from my local Papermill shop
  • Tools: Nestabilities 'labels 8' die, cuttlebug snowdots embossing folder
  • Others: spritzed backround with homemade shimmer spray (perfect pearls & water in mini mister bottles)
  • Thanks for popping by, have a good day!

Hello, Are you sure that embossing folder is made by Cuttlebug? I have one called "snowdots" by Cuttlebug, but it is completely different than the one you are showing. Do you have a link to where i could buy the snowdots folder you used?

Hi Vicki, hope you see this but you didn't leave any contact details! It is a cuttlebug folder but think it's proper name is snowflakes and these ones were packaged different to my other ones (made by Kars). Lots of places have them - here is a link to 1 of them (cuddly buddly)

    hopt that helps. Fran x
