WoJ: Hippity Hop!

Hello & welcome! Hopefully you have come from Camilla's (and I'm sure it was a stunner :)), on your WoJ Anniversary Blog Hop in which case come in and have a nosey! If not, but you'd like to join in the hop then please start over on Katharinas blog first.

We're celebrating the first birthday of WoJ the same way it started . . yes, it's a new stamp release by Alison Acton. Collection of 9 party animal stamps, fab to combine (as I think you will see as you hop) and great fun.

I knew as soon as I got these stamps I wanted to try and make a step card with them. The actual card base is really quick and easy to make (mine's 5.5 x12 and all you do is score at 1.25, 2.5, 4.25, 6. 8.25. Then you just fold concertina style and you get the base part of the card. Then it's up to you how you decorate it. I've just added square back panel for my backdrop as I wanted monkey to hang down but otherwise you wouldn't need that)

Here are all the stamps that I have used from the new release tonight, starting from the back (all photos can be clicked on for closer look) and I've listed the copic colours I used;
(don't have their official names yet)


Monkey: E21, E27, E29, E43, E44 with E02 for cheeks and inside ears

Lion Cub: YR20, YR23, YR24 for fur. E02 for cheeks/inside ears. Y28 for feet

Elephant: he's not actually grey he's BV23, BV31 and V91 for inside ears/cheeks/highlights

Bear with cupcake: E31, E33, E35, E37 and again E02 for cheeks etc

All other colours where just ones that matched the DP. Then for a bit of shimmer I've given them all light coat of twinkling H2O (think it was 'natural linen' for most of the animals)

Shall leave you with shot of card closed flat - will fit in regular 6x6 envelope

• Images: WoJ stamps all cut out with white border to make them 'pop' against the background and monkey has been raised with foam pads.
• Colouring: Memento ink on smooth card & Copics
• DP: MME 'Magnolia' with dark brown card base
• Others: sentiments are mix of rub ons and stickers from stash
