CCT: birthday sketch

CCT is 1yr old today - wow, how time flies! To help celebrate this we have a fabby sketch by Katharina as our challenge this week, set around the theme of 'celebration'. Not only that but there are some fantastic birthday candy to be won (5 of them, 1 of which is some NEW, yet to be released WoJ stamps!) . . but don't go till you've seen my card now, will you?!

So I've gone for 'birthday' as my celebration and using the sketch and some Magnolia stamps (as I've been neglecting them of late!) came up with this

Stash:
  • Images: Tilda with key & letter background are from the recent Magnolia valentine collection. The sentiment and circle are an Inkadinkado set. I've stamped Tilda then masked her before stamping the letter background and embossing in a pearlescent embossing powder. Then sponged distress inks all over backround before taking mask off. The circle around sentiment has also been embossed.
  • Colouring: Copics.
  • DP: Basic grey 'Marrakesh' pad
  • Others: Fiskars 'apron lace' border punch, velvet ribbon, paper string & zoomz dots

Right you can go run and check out the candy and the rest of the DT cards now and the new look to the CCT blog - byee & good luck!

Off to see if postie has brought me any DT goodies or Magnolia spring kit yet as I know they been sent.

P.S been tinkering with background not sure if I like this one yet. Am also in middle of trying to make a new blog header so it all may change again depending on what that ends up looking like!
