Well, thanks for stopping by and I want to wish any US readers out there a happy thanksgiving day!
ATC theme this week is 'warm & cozy' which immediately makes me think indoors, in front of a fire. However I made a tilda card in front of the fire not long ago and didn't want to repeat myself. So ran with the 'indoors' theme and came up with this . .
All stamps are from the current christmas/winter Magnolias and the window has acetate 'glass panes' and is raised on foam pads so that the snowy scene outside looks like it's in the distance and Tilda is nice and snug inside :) Stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks and twinkling H2o's. The scene outside has lots of snow and glitter added. The sentiment (typed out with ATB tapewriter) just seemed to fit plus I'd just finished watching 'Elf' so had that song stuck in my head (love that movie, so funny) :)!

Didn't manage to make as many cards/blog hop as I thought I would - got sidetracked by sorting out bits in my craftroom the other evening and then weekend = work (total opposite to most people I know!). You know how it is, start off wanting to just tidy up one thing and then it all snowballs which is why I try not to have too many tidying sessions LOL. So now I've only got the one card to show and it's not to any challenge, just what I thought best for the image.
This gorgeous tree is from Whiff of Joy (as is the sentiment) and it was love at first sight - fantastic for someone like me who loves colouring in :) although I'm not that happy with this one as I rushed it a bit and the apples and gingerbread men look a bit flat :/ Not going to list materials etc as pretty straight forward and I didn't think it needed much else as I wanted the image and sentiment to be the main focus. Used my Promarkers and lots of glitter, stardust pens and clear glaze pen over the apples so nice and shiny - not sure if you can see that when you click on photo. Any questions just ask. I've used Tilda decorating (just love her) but I didn't get the magnolia tree stamp that goes with her. Instead I remembered I had this very old christmas set which has some fir branches in it and I knew I could use that when I bought this Tilda. So I stamped and masked Tilda then just stamped random branches all around her in the shape of a tree. I've coloured with Promarkers and twinkling H2O over the top for that added sparkle and glitter. Diamond glaze and glamour dust over the baubles then the tinsel around the tree created with liquid pearls (not used those in years!) Then it's been matted onto a bit of scrap blue card and I found a scrap of dp which had baubles on it so stuck that on at an angle. Then little sentiment added across the top and a brad in the corner. I'm afraid the photo's a bit dark but if you click on it you might be able to see it all better.
I'm back with a card, as promised. Was going to do one of the 'gazillion' challenges that are around but then I was taking so long trying to decide on image and sketch etc that I stopped myself and just simply made a card without it having to fit anything - think I sometimes forget that I am allowed to do that, LOL!Used another of the gorgeous new 'Whiff of Joy' releases, this is Lizzie and I think she is just too cute. I've watercoloured her with distress inks and sakura stardust pen on her fur trim (so super sparkly). Chalked around the edges after cutting with my other set of nestabilities labels (just love these new sets). Used embossing folder on scrap of green card and the dp is from an old DCWV christmas stack. The sentiments ('joy' and 'lots of presents') are also WoJ stamps then the only other things I've added are ribbon and a couple of gems from stash.

Thanks to everyone who entered and for all your lovely comments! Hopefully you'll have better luck elsewhere (as I've noticed quite a few blogoversary candies around at the moment, seems Nov was a popular month to start a blog :)) If you're still after some more candy I've still got some WoJ goodies to come in a couple of weeks . . so keep your eyes peeled!

Anyway, at least I'll have the cards ready, LOL. Here are two more.
This first one is a 5x7 " card (I do like this size as alternative to 14cm square cards as the other standard rectangle sizes I either find too small or too big!). It's 'non cute' and is for the Penny Black challenge of 'sentiment only'. This PB stamp is huge so doesn't really need anything with it! Just used the black and white scraps from my earlier Lizzie card and teamed it with some silver mirri card and a splash of red ribbon to tie in with the holographic black embossing powder I used on the text which has flashes of red and silver (you probably won't be able to pick up in the photo). The silver die cuts are various cuttlebug dies and the black piece at the bottom has been embossed with the snowflake folder and that's all there is to that one. Not that keen on it but it'll do for my 'non-cute' pile.

Well, that's my lot for this weekend. I see the Magnolia winter kits have arrived for some of you, so have fun with those! (I've still not had post today but doubt mine are here yet as money only went out on the 12th as I left it quite late before I ordered. Talking of which - what did they charge you for postage? They took 45Kr for mine, I thought it was 35Kr - has it gone up?)

It's Thursday which means it's CCT time again. This week it's a nice and simple colour theme, 'red & green' so I finally got to use some of my new Magnolia stamps and made this:

Think I'm fairly up to date with my DT stuff so off to play with some of my other new Whiff of Joys and Magnolias today before the clubkit arrives (soon I hope!) They've started sending them out and Malin posted a picture of them here - Love the look of some of them and that giant glass will be fab to perch a Tilda on for new year/celebration cards - very 'Ditta von teese', LOL (for those that don't know she's a burlesque performer and has this signiture striptease she does in a giant champagne glass ;D)

ATC theme this week is 'bling' which immediately made me think of using diamond glaze & glamour dust (I love the sparkle and dimension you get with this combo) so looked through my stamps to see what I could use and this big bow on the magnolia present just shouted out to be 'blinged' up LOL.
So nice and simple, just paper pierced the wrapping with a bit of scrap dp, coloured the bow as normal with a red promarker before adding the diamond glaze and glamour dust over it. Then the background looked a bit bare so I coloured a pale blue circle around the present as a sort of spotlight then stamped some random snowflakes around the edges. Inked the edge in red before matting onto an ATC sized bit of silver mirri card. then just in case that wasn't 'blingy' enough i added a few more gems to finish! The 'no peeking' written with ATB tape writer using a strip of scrap coredinations card which after sanding still didn't stand out enough so I went over the letters with a brown pen. Punched ends with SU word window punch.
Talking of ATCs I received one back from the swap that Shary hosted a few challenges ago - and I received Maria's cute one in the post yesterday, which you can see on her blog here! It was fun, would love to know who got mine!
Anyway, back to the card. Wanted a christmas folder card that would be suitable for a teenage girl so chose a grey/pink colour scheme with a touch of black & silver and lots of shimmer and bling:

Here's a side view so you can see the folder bit inside - just stuck the remaining 2 snowflakes diecuts left over from the die I'd used 
Bit last minute as usual, but here's my spoonful entry which was a sketch and it was perfect for a rectangular card (I do like making 5x7 sometimes, makes a change from square but is still big enough for all the bits but not too big!) I used another of my cute 'Herb' stamps from the new WoJ release, this time he's holding onto a christmas pud - love it!

I got this fab Karen fosters blank calender and calender bundle from Silly Monkey and it's fantastic for making a quick calender. You just use the dp and stickers that you get for each month (each a diff colour scheme) and just colour your images to match and voila, 1 month done! As the panel is only 4x4 it's just right for all my 'little people' stamps. The other good thing is that it's a perpetual calender so if you don't finish it in time it can be for the following year! or if you don't add a year to it you can use it indefinately.
This is Jan and as it has loads of sparkle and bling (it has honest, there's stickles everywhere, including all over the dp, just not showing very well in photo). Tilda and Edwin are from various 2008 Magnolia collections coloured with Promarkers and twinkling H2O's The dp and all the various stickers that you see including the 'January', 'celebrate', balloons etc are from the bundle kit. All I've added is some silver mirri card, ribbon and some chipboard numbers for '09.
